Since I’ve left radio, I’ve been busy with a number of things. One of them was making my TV debut. It was only natural to want to try something new and something challenging. Well this time I’ve got my work cut out for me as I venture into Mandarin TV with the second season of the award winning talkshow, It’s a Small World!

I’ll be involved in season 2 as a Singaporean representative. Well everyone on the show is from overseas, we have a German, a Spanish, a Taiwanese, an American, a Romanian and loads of other guests from all over the world. Now this is something I never expected, to be brought together with people from all over the world speaking…….Mandarin. Hahaha!

Although I’m a Singaporean and I do give a local perspective, you’d find that I’m quite foreign at the same time……..cos my Mandarin is so bad….hahahahahaha!

Here are some shots behind the scenes of the Valentines Day and Chinese New Year episodes that we filmed.

We actually almost finished all of that Yue Sheng, I remember we had alot of food to eat that day….hahaha half the episode we were eating.

It’s been fun filming for this series and I’ve learnt alot along the way, about other people’s culture and so on and I really have to say that Mark Lee, the host of the show is truly one of the very best in the industry. It’s no joke the way he’s gotta handle all the guests on the show and to keep the topics flowing and so on. No joke.

And as you can see, he has to take the occasional snooze in between takes

Well, I make my debut on Monday 7 Feb, at 8pm on Channel 8! You can find out more about the series here. They even have my profile up there, haha!

Danker out!
