After I was done with the Daughtry Press Conference at the 2010 Singtel Singapore GP, I had sometime to prepare for the next Press Conference that Sony Music had lined up. It was going to be a glam affair with Adam Lambert! Haha!
This one was going to be a little more TV show style because it was just him and not a full band so I would be sitting next to him facilitating the press con.
I actually interviewed him 6 months ago when he was in town for a showcase at RWS and he remembered me…..haha! That made things easier because I was familiar with his style and how to engage him in a conversation. Funny enough he said he liked the bling earring I had on that day. I said I glamed up for the occasion…..what an ice breaker huh.
What a crowd at the press con which had 2 photo ops, hence a lot more flashes went off. Some F1 related questions were asked like what he would call his F1 team. He chose “The Glitz”, a team which would be decked out with glitter and rhinestones and be the most shiniest car on track.
His dream car I remember him saying would be a Maserati which he spotted in a shopping mall. Good taste this guy!
At the end of the press con, Adam was presented with a plaque for his debut album For Your Entertainment which has achieved Platinum status in Singapore for sales over 10,000 copies.
To celebrate the success, Sony Music will be releasing an Asia exclusive version of the album called the “Glam Box” featuring the complete album as well as a tour edition DVD with live performances and music videos, If I Had You remixed EP, and a very exclusive mousepad. I asked him what he thought of the packaging and he was absolutely thrilled about it.
