I’ve been up close and personal with international celebrities during my time in radio and even after leaving, hosting for 3 American Idol alumni, Daughtry, Adam Lambert and David Archuleta…..the entire experience of ScreenSingapore took me by surprise.
No not that I was star struck, I’ve already dealt with that years ago, I think it was probably about responsibility, or maybe knowing that I had to get it right because this wasn’t about me being on stage bantering with the stars, I was there as the editor of an online magazine.
An idea which started 6 months ago, we aimed to enjoy ourselves and let it grow slowly but who would have thought it grew so fast. Gaining recognition and praises for the good work we do. We love it every week and every month, the thrill of churning out good articles for fans by fans. That has always been our principle behind running this magazine. Our hits have increased like crazy just a month before ScreenSingapore, we knew we had to put up something interesting, something people wanted, movie buffs, anime fans you name it, we had to deliver.

Honestly I screwed up, I had been paying attention to cracking the Japanese market and scoring a one on one interview with May’n, a Japanese singing sensation and a big big name to all anime fans out there. I had to do it, this was gonna give us our hits and bring the magazine to a whole new level………..but I forgot about ScreenSingapore, accreditation not done, no media pass, no event coverage…..
I took a chance, sent a mail, made a call, hoped for help…..and I’m grateful it came.

Thank you to the guys from CommunicationsDNA, Vernia, Sophia, Denise and Akram for helping us with the media accreditation and for being so patient with us and our requests.
Thank you Wee Ling and Jacquelyn from AsiaPRwerkz for helping us score the interview with May’n, getting us a good spot at her red carpet appearance and most of all helping make the review of her movie possible.

Now that the mad rush is over, I start to think back and realize how much we owe to the people who support us. I suppose that’s why I wrote this here and not on next month’s editor’s note, it’s my personal thanks to you and I want you to know.
Thank you
