This week I’m handing over writing duties on my blog to my official photographer, Kenneth Wong who was recently at the Salvatore Ferragamo Spring Summer 2011 fashion show.

It was an amazing spectacle and from the pictures I’d say this is an article you’d want to read because this was one exclusive event.

Enjoy the pictures.

In an exclusive invite only event, Salvatore Ferragamo (Singapore) transformed the Paragon atrium into a cocoon-like  imaginary tent to showcase it’s Spring Summer 2011 menswear and womenswear collection on the 10th of March 2011.

The Menswear collection did indeed give the “lazy awakenings” feel as per the press release with the male models donning sailor sweaters in shades of navy and cream along with white overcoats and silk pajama bottoms with striped cashmere. Not forgetting the evening collection which was equally impressive with the new range jackets matching the pants so perfectly. Top it of with the two-tone shoes of the highest Italian quality that everyone can expect from the brand, Ferragamo’s Spring Summer 2011 menswear makes it easy for one to impress.

The womenswear did not disappoint either with crochet swimming suits to flowing chiffon dresses, the spring summer 2011 day to night range can make even the most fashion conscious female spoilt for choice. Although a few more sets of crunches will help with the new collection thanks to the bare-waist looks as silk mini-tops or micro-polo shirts paired up with embroidered shirts were a common sight.

It was also good to see local top models Charmaine Harn and Sheila Sim taking turns to wow us on the runway and as a bonus, Sheila closed the show in a long mesh dress that gave a seductively flowing silhouette (and got this photog mesmerized for a good 1 second as well).

It’s definitely a privilege to be able attend a fashion show of this  production level and two thumbs up to the team behind the show.
