Well technically I do the show solo but I’ve recently purchased a little something to make the experience of going on air a whole lot better.
It’s none other than my own set of personal headphones. I’ve actually been debating getting once since before I returned to radio and having known more about the brand Audio-Technica since I’ve been off air, I decided strongly that I was gonna get a pair of ATH monitor headphones.
So I did some checking and testing of my own and I’m really glad I followed the advice of Royston from Audio-Technica and got myself the ATH-M50. Honestly no regrets I tell you, it sounds really good and when I speak into the mic, I like how I can hear myself so clearly. I’m a bass person so I have to say that the bass response on these headphones are really good and it’s not too overpowering.
But for me the best part about the ATH-M50 is that it’s incredibly comfortable! Considering I have to wear them for quite a while, it just makes the experience so much better because it’s so comfortable.
The ATH-M50 comes in black or white or the limited edition Silver and Blue. I went for the white ones cos like my headphones to stand out. It does cost a little more compared to the black ones but heck I was happy to pay the difference.
