It’s the second year my web-mag POPCulture Online is supporting the Singapore Toys Games and Comics Convention. This being the convention I look forward too most every year, I went a little nuts.
I mean the movie replicas from Hot Toys were amazing man, I had so much fun at their booth which I visited like 20 times in 2 days????…..there about. Well I consider myself an investor in a way because I’m buying all these toys and making these sculptors rich. Makes sense right?…talk about making a difference. I actually had the chance to meet with the Hot Toys sculptors and I told them just that.
The highlight this year was probably the replica of The Bat from The Dark Knight Rises. It is so huge at 1 : 6 scale but oh so gorgeous! My aim is to own this one day, I’d surely pre-order it when or if it’s out. Lots of rumors going around that this might not be released due to it’s massive size.
We messed around quite a bit this year and bullied the youngest writer by making him serve the PR company coffee. Now some may call this bullying, we at POPCulture Online call it paying your dues…..haha!
The real challenge for me was filming a follow up featurette to last year’s STGCC video where I dressed up as Iron Man. Who did I dress up as this year? Well take a guess.
