This was part of the success 101 series at InQueenz by Genecia Luo and in part 3 of this series I was a celebrity coach in the Introduction to professional hosting.
As you would imagine, it was a very basic course aimed at individuals who were interested to know more about professional hosting and we even had some people in the events industry sign up just to understand more about how it works. What an emcee should or should not do and even how the emcee goes about some very basic show prep.
I gotta say this was a fun setup and at times it felt like i was hosting a gig, but that’s the art to teaching really…..it’s putting up the right kind of performance to your students so they remember your show for a longer time.
I suppose you could say it’s about that lasting impression of a teacher so that the student absorbs better.
