Over the weekend, I finally became a fashion designer after my collaboration with local eco friendly label, Etrican was launched! It was a joint launch as we also showcased to the world the brand new female collection by Etrican called, Midnight Garden.
Over the next few days I’ll share pics of the fashion show with you but for now, here’s a look behind the scenes of the great milestone for both Etrican and myself.
We were at Orchard Central, our venue sponsor for many nights leading up to the fashion show on 13 Nov. The wonderful marketing department put in as much passion as us especially in getting all the aesthetics right. Just take a look at the photowall they gave us. Designed by our very own Yumiko Uno, we went for the simple but classy look while also acknowledging our kind sponsors.
Goodie bags for our 100 guests from the corporate and media industry. All biodegradable which was the theme for our fashion show. The clothes are eco friendly and made of organtic cotton so it was only fitting we kept to the theme of being eco friendly.
The Etrican and ED-08 designs on the front were hand stamped. We were looking for something unique and figured that this was a good option. Based on the feedback, I’d say we were spot on.
Thanks to Think Well International, we got some smoke machines to add to the mystery of the first act, Midnight Garden.
Our make up supremo Karen was also busy hours before showtime at the OC lounge, getting all the make up done for the models.
This scene was taken about 10 minutes before showtime, with all our guests seated and ready. The lights on stage switched on, the models on standby and all our nerves racing……it was one hell of a show!
By the time it was my turn to go up on stage I noticed that entire area right up to the entrance was packed, it was an amazing sight and I want to thank you for coming down and being a part of the launch of Midnight Garden by Etrican and ED-08, An Elliott Danker / Etrican collaboration.
