Over the weekend, Pasir Laba Camp opened it’s doors to the public for the Army Open House. I made it down on Sunday to host the event at one of the 7 different worlds that were on display.
It all started at Fun world where me and Charlene from 883JiaFM gave out lots of prizes, promos and worked the crowd together with performances from the SAF Music and Drama Company.
If your wondering why Charlene is laughing so loudly well that was me hosting in Chinese……….ya ya very funny. I’m actually glad I survived the show cos I had only 70% recovered from a flu, it’s the bad weather, gotta drink lots of water and load up on vitamin C.
Well it was wasn’t just about us giving out prizes but also the various Army vehicles on show. Like the helicopters and the major Urban Ops show.
Other performances included the SAF Band as well as the Silent Precision Drill Squad from Military Police Command.
Now these are pics from the Urban Ops show I was talking it about over at Action World. The display was basically to show how our army would respond to Terror threats and hostage situations.
Here’s one of the ‘props’……..this car I think was bombed close to 20 times including all the rehearsal takes. Guess the guys holding the detonators had the most fun.
But before leaving, a shot for old times sake had to be taken of Sgt Rocky, formerly on display at SISPEC Tekong, now at it’s new home in Pasir Laba Camp. Thanks again Kenneth for helping me with the pics.
Danker out!
