It’s been 3 years since the first AFA. Every year without fail I always attend this celebration and fascination of the Japanese culture in Singapore. Even my label ED-08 has much Japanese influence, heck even the person who put all the artwork together is Japanese.
Since 2003 when 2 very good friends of mine introduced me to Japanese anime I’ve always been so amazed by it’s culture and music. Typing this blogpost now I’m listening to Starry Sky by Capsule…..half my Itunes has Jap anime music.
While not many pictures were taken, this years series of concerts were amazing. With I Love Anisong side A featuring Jam Project who was the bomb! Old ah beng and lian jap style band FTW! And of course the legendary Aniki who was a big favorite of my mate Shaun.
Side B Featured Angela who made new fans in me and Kenneth, Scandal tore the stage up with Jap Rock and May’n with yet another fantastic performance in Singapore.
This year me and my mates Kenneth and Shuan celebrated 3 years of friendship by anime and 3 years of enjoying AFA. Till next year guys……..thanks for the company at each AFA!
And a side note to Mr Shawn Chin, Festival Director of AFA X. You have outdone yourself yet again!
