Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She’s in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), a hardcore shock jock who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.
Despite the best efforts of Butler and Heigl, The Ugly Truth suffers from a weak script that relies on romantic comedy formula, with little charm or comedic payoff.

Perhaps it’s the season for romantic comedies. Gerard Butler just doesn’t quite cut it as the romantic sort, comedy maybe………none the less I love Katherine Heigl in this, she looks amazing and she’s shown that she’s come a long way from Roswell.
