Denzel Washington stars as Eli, a man on a mission from God. He walks by faith and is due west……….some 30 years after a great war broke out and drove people into a less advanced way of life.
There are moments in this film which I found slow, slightly boring in fact and some parts which didn’t quite add up. But then you think, watch by faith and not by sight and maybe it will make sense.
Another thing was that I’ve gotten used to seeing Gary Oldman as the good guy, as Commissioner Gordon and so it was nice to see him play the villian once again. Although, I think I’m still too used to him playing Gordon.
Well I guess in that sense it did work out in the end for me. There were a few surprises at the end which I though made more a nice twist to the film. All in all Denzel gives yet another good performance.
