I caught the Ip Man double bill at AMK over some free flow of popcorn and watched Bruce Lee’s master face different enemies back to back.
Watching bother part 1 and 2 meant I could see the continuity and compare the 2 films…………..could I tell the difference? No….
And that’s a good thing!
The first one was good, we know this but the second had more emotion in it. You could see how he has gotten over all the problems from the first movie and then moved to Hong Kong, post World War 2 and there you go……..more problems.
It connects emotionally too and it’s nice to see that he actually struggled in a final fight.
Ip Man 2………bring on part 3!
