Making a return to Power 98FM meant having to host the Army Open House again. Well it’s pretty familiar territory for me and it helped that I had familiar co-hosts! I co-hosted with Charlene from 883 JiaFM on day one and it even though it’s been a while, our chemistry on stage was still the same.

Perhaps it was not quite so familiar because this was the first time that they were having the Army Open House in the city.

Yeah that meant no need to travel to army camps to view the various vehicles and exhibitions, visitors could simply head down to the F1 Pit building to check out the Army Open House.

Day 2 started with me trying to help Emily take a photo with the parachute soldier…..errr however my brain seemed to think that I could throw the parachute up and run out of the shot in time. This seems to look like some circus performance.

Anyway back to the matter at hand, day 2 marked the first time I hosted with Robin from 883 JiaFM. Haha I’ve known and worked with this chap for like years and this is the first time we hosted together.

Awkward silences and lack of chemistry were certainly not a problem. If you know me as a guy who’s always up for performing a stunt or two during a gig and then Robin is the same k.

We interacted with crowds and spoke to some fathers in the service who brought their sons to see what dad does for a living. This year incidentally makes the 45th anniversary of National Service and the theme is From Fathers to Sons.

Remember what I talked about stunts?….there you go, we decided to host from the top of the Terrex Infantry Vehicle.

One of the units wanted to do an interview with us to round up the day which we happily obliged.
