I spent Sunday helping Janet with her ESP Guitar Clinic, which this time featured Masashi Kimura from Japan. He was formerly from the band “Saw Loser” and most recently is with “Nothing to declare” and his clinic was held at The black Box at Fort Canning centre.

Masashi’s clinic basically covered information about his ESP guitar as well as his gadgets and other gears. He even spoke abit about his personal life. It’s the second time I’ve met the guy and I must say he’s a very nice and friendly chap and also very willing to share his knowledge.

There was one point where he offered advise to young and aspiring musicians saying don’t ever critisize others, always keep practicing, work hard and keep a good attitude. Well said, my friend!

The event was part of the Singapore Drum Fest and at this particular ESP Guitar Clinic, something stood out…..Cosplayers! The official retailers of ESP, Davis Guitar organised Masashi’s clinic. And Masashi being Japanese, they decided to bring in Cosplayers to pose with the various ESP, Edwards and LTD guitars!

Brilliant I must say and a first of it’s kind in Singapore. Definately a unique move from Davis Guitar as they bring new dimension to Cosplaying.

The 4 Cosplayers stole the show with their unique styles as many lined up to take pictures with them and the guitars! Here we have Janet posing with Asura, Soma, Juste and Toshiya, all characters from various anime and japanese computer games.

Not forgetting the 2 lolitas who helped out at the ESP booth, seen here posing with Masashi……..highlighting the Japanese theme for the clinic.

They really look cool man, I was thinking I could form a rock band with them! Going on stage would be a painful make up session but don’t you think it will look cool!

Also I gotta tell you about this, Roxanne aka Asura drew……yes drew the poster for Masashi’s clinc and she did it anime style. Take a look!

Lot’s of hard work put into this, both from Davis and the Cosplayers…………great job guys!

Last but not least, welcome home Kenneth! I see you survived your mission trip to Cambodia…….and thanks for the photos!

Danker out!
