On Saturday 13 Nov 2010, in conjunction with Re-Live at Orchard Central, 2 eco friendly fashion labels were launched in style with the first being Midnight Garden by Etrican.

And thanks to the official photographer for www.elliottdanker.com, Kenneth Wong, here are the pics from the event in case you missed out on it as well as a summary of the event.

The second act called ED-08 was introduced with a voiceover

“It is the year 3000 and Midnight Garden is in ruins as Mother Nature slowly falls under pressure.

Humans are now forced to harmonize nature with their own advancements and from the ashes of Midnight Garden, the humans have sent back ED-08 with a mission.

To bring hope to the human race

Presenting ED-08, an Elliott Danker / Etrican collaboration”

Wings of Sound

This design is the only one to feature the character ED-08 in full colour and it shows him in a flying stance at the back of the shirt, with wings made of sound waves.

Chill Out No. 8

The head of ED-08 is shown on the front of this t-shirt with its headphones on, meant to inspire a more chilled out look to the character.

Inspired by the design of the chest piece of ED-08, which is a turn, table making the robot a walking mobile disco.

Blueprint of a Hero

The flagship design of the ED-08 collection, which features a blueprint of all the recycled parts that make up the character ED-08

Audrey our host then interview me and asked about the collaboration and what ED-08 stood for. ED being my initials and 08 being the number handed to me by CLEO in this years CLEO magazine 50 most eligible bachelors.

Working with Etrican has been more than just fulfilling a dream but standing for a good cause, eco friendly fashion.

With all the models out, we stood and gave a big round of applause for marking the day as a day of being environmentally responsible.

Organic cotton is grown using natural methods of fertilisation and pest and weed control, free of chemicals. It protects your skin, the environment and the health of its farmers.

The organic cotton trend is booming: from mass retailer Target, to New York fashion emporium Barneys; Brit designer Stella McCartney, to Yves Saint Laurent creative honcho Stefano Pilati; fashion’s biggest names have been embracing eco designs.

Danker out!
