Believe it or not this was my first time watching Jason Mraz Live in concert! I’ve heard so much about how good an entertainer he is when he performs on stage but I’ve been missing out on it.
Well not this time because right from the get go, Jason Mraz worked the crowd with “The Dynamo of Volition” and boy was the indoor stadium in the mood.
As my friend described, he’s a freak. There was a song where he completely changed his singing style to that of Opera and then another where he challenged his saxophonist by changing his vocals to sound like a saxophone.
I’d say he is a complete entertainer because he did more than just sing his hit songs. He wasn’t afraid to mash things up and most importantly he entertained! He worked the crowd, got them into the groove and made everyone smile. I especially liked how he said ‘thank you’ in different languages after each song.
But you know, what makes him good was really how tight his band was. I think he owes alot to them cos they really provided a full sound. Oh and there was an appearance by our own Joi Chua, who sang “Lucky” with him which was a big crowd favorite.
Danker out!
