Dance……an art form envied by so many, mastered by so few. I for one try……..as hard as I might to dance. But really it’s not in the will or the ability. It’s really in the passion, in listening to your body just move in one fluid motion.
Well an annual competition is back to show case this beautiful art form. Called Dance works, this competition aims to promote a drug-free life through dance. Organised by the Central Narcotics Bureau and the National Council Against Drug Abuse, this year’s theme is to “Dance your way to a drug free life”
The competition got underway on the 21 Feb 2009 and I’m glad to be able to host it. The Cat 1 finals took place at the Toa Payoh HDB hub were the likes of over 20 primary schools took part in it.

The next event will be held at the open plaza outside Plaza Singapura on 7 Mar 09, which is the Cat 3 preliminary round. Featuring an open catergory of dancers aged 25 and below. See you then!
